March 2018 - Expo West Recap

Dear Compassionate Consumer,

Happy Spring! March has been a super busy month for Leaping Bunny, with tons of new companies making the commitment to be cruelty-free on a weekly basis. In addition, Leaping Bunny traveled across the country to attend Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA, from March 9th to 11th. We love attending Expo because so many of our certified companies exhibit at this event, and we are able to stop by their booths and get the latest scoop on their brands and product lines in person.

This e-newsletter is dedicated to our wonderful experience at Expo and the companies that provide amazing cruelty-free products. We hope you enjoy the roundup and maybe even see something that piques your interest!

For the animals,

Day One

Made Of:
The day started out by visiting Made Of, a recently certified company. This company focuses on baby products. It was my first time seeing their products and packaging in person. I instantly fell in love with the color schemes and illustrations.

Spinster Sisters:
Spinster Sisters blew me away with their beautifully curated booth and gorgeous packaging. This Colorado-based company makes wonderful bath and body products, with delicious scents including Sage + Cedar, Sandalwood, and Raspberry Wit Beer.

Mrs. Meyers:
I love Mrs. Meyer’s products for their versatility, nostalgic packaging, and amazing fragrances. At Expo, they were showcasing their newest scents: Apple Cider, Peppermint, and Pumpkin. The Pumpkin scent is being released in August, and let me tell you, it smells absolutely incredible. They also released hand sanitizers in Lavender and Basil scents.

Seaweed Bath Co:
Seaweed Bath Co was featuring their amazing Detox line (the detox body wash is my personal favorite). Additionally, they had their very own cotton candy machine and were giving out seaweed dusted cotton candy. So fun!

Yes To:
Yes To recently released a whole host of new “hands-free” products. Color-coded by skin type, new products include a roll on face mask, a scrub and cleanse stick, and a moisturizing stick. We can’t wait to try out these products and look forward to doing reviews in the upcoming months.

Puna Noni:
The day ended with a sneak peak of Puna Noni’s Unicorn bar soaps. Don’t they look magical?

Day Two

Giovanni:
The day began with my very own styling appointment with Giovanni! They used a straight iron to make loose, voluminous curls in my hair. I also got to preview a bunch of new additions to their existing hair and body care lines, which will be coming out later this year.

Molly’s Suds:
Molly’s Suds always has the most adorably decorated booth. At Expo, they were featuring their newest products, which include linen spray in Lavender, Honeysuckle, and Geranium scents, that last of which was my personal favorite.

Bee Bella:
The guys at Bee Bella were so friendly and full of energy. They proudly displayed the Leaping Bunny logo and even made a quick change into a beekeeper’s suit for a picture. This company is based in Wisconsin, and they are dedicated to helping save the honeybee.

Vingt:
Vingt recently launched and it was so wonderful seeing their products in person! The company’s founder is a dentist and he created his very own fluoride-free, turmeric-infused oral care products.

Day Three

Honestly pHresh:
We met Hilary from Honestly pHresh at Indie Beauty Expo before her company was certified, but Expo was the first time seeing her since joining the Leaping Bunny Program. I love the vibrant packaging and story behind this company. Look for a spotlight interview with Honestly pHresh in a few months!

Radius:
I was so happy that I stopped by Radius’s booth because I learned that the company will soon be releasing their own line of doggie toothpaste! I even tasted it myself― sweet potato and cinnamon flavor―and it was really good!

South of France:
The ladies at Grandpa Brands, which also owns South of France and Kirk’s All Natural, are so fun and full of energy. We have a ton of promotions coming up this year, so get excited! In the meantime, check out some of their newest soap scents. They smell luxurious.

nügg:
Lastly, I was so excited to meet up with nügg beauty, which is a recently certified company that has been getting tons of attention. Their individual face mask pods are super convenient and the packaging is adorable.
