The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics' (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program is pleased to announce that it has won the$10,000 grand prize in Alba Botanica's 'Team Do Beautiful' contest.
Alba Botanica, a Leaping Bunny certified company that makes personal care products for the face, hair, and body, sponsored the contest to bring awareness to and raise money for three designated charities chosen by the company. The three charities were CCIC, Healthy Child Healthy World, and The Earth Day Network. CCIC won the grand prize as the charity that garnered the most votes.
"Alba Botanica is thrilled to announce loyal partner Leaping Bunny as the winner of our Team Do Beautiful promotion! We are humbled by a profound respect for all beings and that is why Alba Botanica and all of our ingredients suppliers proudly stand against animal testing of any kind," stated Clair Sidman, Senior Brand Manager at Alba Botanica.
The prize winnings will be used to fund independent audits of Leaping Bunny certified companies as well as promote the Leaping Bunny Program through social media. "We are very excited to have won the grand prize. It is so gratifying to know how many of our supporters value our continued work to end product testing," stated Kim Paschen, Communications Manager of the Leaping Bunny Program. "We look forward to adding new cruelty-free companies to our growing list as well as continually finding new ways to promote cruelty-free shopping. Our thanks go to Alba Botanica for helping to further our mission."
