Dear Compassionate Shoppers,
Welcome to our special edition e-newsletter recapping our visit to the Natural Products Expo West show in Anaheim, CA! Over a period of three days, we walk the vast convention center floor, chatting with reps at current Leaping Bunny certified companies and folks at not-yet-certified companies. This year, I was able to meet with nearly 80 companies to talk about new products and partnerships and, of course, have some fun. Some highlights include a hand massage at the Desert Essence booth, the retro photo shoot at Earth Friendly Products, and hair styling at Giovanni's booth. Read on for the day-by-day account of the show and get a first look at new developments from companies.
For the animals,

Day One: Friday, March 10, 2017
|
Éclair Naturals
I started the day at Éclair Naturals where I got a whiff of the creamy bars of soap they were cutting to hand out to attendees.
|
|
Seaweed Bath Co.
I then headed over to the Seaweed Bath Company's booth where I got to see their new facial care line and check out their new body care scents. They smelled amazing!

|
Kiss My Face
Next, I made a stop at the Kiss My Face booth. I was so excited to see our logo on their packaging for the very first time. I can't wait to try their new dry oil sunscreen that debuted at the show.

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day
A bit later, I went to Mrs. Meyers Clean Day. They had a giant body soap bottle and matching shower poof, complete with bubble making machine to help launch their new personal care line.
|
|
Earth Friendly Products
I finished the day doing a video interview with the folks at Earth Friendly Products. Additionally, I posed for flashback photos in a booth set up to celebrate their 50th anniversary. So fun!

One of my first stops was at the Seventh Generation booth. I was excited to see their brand new plant-based, eco-friendly aerosol-like disinfectant sprays on display.

Schmidt's Naturals
Next up was Schmidt's Naturals. Known best for their deodorant jars and sticks, they were showcasing their new line of bar soaps at the show. They will be in the same great scents as their deodorant, including: rose + vanilla, bregamot + lime, and lavender + sage.

Skinny & Co.
From there, I stopped by Skinny & Co.'s booth, one of our recently certified companies that makes amazing products from coconut oil. I snagged a sample of their hot-off-the-press Clarifying Moisturizing Facial Oil that I am excited to try.

|
Desert Essence
In the afternoon, I took a little break at the Desert Essence booth with a relaxing hand massage that included use of their just-launched essential oils. It was just what I needed after visiting more than 30 companies in one day!

Moving on, I had a great meeting with the gals at Giovanni. We planned lots of giveaways for the rest of this year, so stay tuned! I also got to see a pic of me getting my hair done the previous day. Such fun!

Grandpa Brands Company
The last appointment of the day was at one of my favorite soap companies, Grandpa's/Kirks/South of France. I literally smelled each gorgeous bar of soap because the scents are amazing.

That's a wrap—another successful Expo West in the books!
P.S. I was thrilled to see so many companies proudly displaying our logo on their signage and products. It was one of the logos I came across the most often during the show. This exposure shows how important cruelty-free certification really is to buyers, distributers, and, of course, shoppers like you! |
